Death of A Salesman Movie

If I were casting a movie on Death of a Salesman I would cast each character based on my opinions of them in the original drama.  For Willy and Linda I would cast the Foreman parents from That 70’s Show (Red and Kitty). I would possibly cast Happy as Ashton Kutcher and Biff as a slightly more attractive Adam Sandler.
The reason why I would cast Willy as Red from That 70’s Show is because he seemed to have a temper that matched Willy’s. Red was often on his son’s case about what he wanted him to do. He also experienced some difficulties with his job and achieving success in the show. I feel this makes the two (Willy and Red) comparable because Willy seems to place a lot of importance on achieving success for himself and also through his sons. Also Red seems to be assertive with his son, but not as assertive in his career, as seen on some of the shows. Willy seems to be like him in this way to, because he is assertive at home, but not as assertive in the work place as evident from his lack of success.
The reason I would cast Linda as Red’s wife Kitty, is because she seems to be very traditional and maternal. I interpret Linda to be a very maternal and traditional women; perhaps the stereotypical housewife in that particular time setting. It seems interesting how she does not often stray from her role as a typical housewife, and she is quite predictable. She is faithful and compassionate.
The reason why I would cast Happy as Ashton Kutcher is because both are in a sense, womanizers. However I speculated on hypothetically casting him as Bradley Cooper, because he seems to have the type of ora that would make him a kind of smooth and successful guy. And I got that although Happy was not extremely successful, he seemed to be the most professional out of the bunch.
Casting Biff was the hardest part for me because I felt like he should be one of the star quarterbacks out of a football movie, however I just don’t know enough about those types of movies. I chose Adam Sandler (waterboy?) only because I have seen many of his movies and he seems to resemble Biff in a sense that he likes to make jokes. There was also a movie that I cannot think of the name of that he started out very unsuccessful- Maybe a few.
