Review of Engish 1102

A Review of English 1102 (from My Point of View)

When registering for classes, I intentionally chose Professor Lindberg as my English 1102 instructor. I had enjoyed her teaching techniques in 1101 and as I expected I really enjoyed this course.

My favorite part of this class was writing essays, especially critical analyses. I actually loved writing these and did not feel that it was a chore. I feel that all the essays that I've had to write in this class have actually improved my writing, which will for sure be beneficial in other classes.

I loved class discussions and appreciated everyone's unique point of view, and Mrs. Lindberg's professional opinions of each literary work. She was extremely responsive to questions and gave very constructive criticism and even praise.

I enjoyed learning more about poetry and how every aspect of the poem (rhyme scheme, word choice, poem form) contributes to the poem as a whole. I also liked learning about the different perspectives of analysis because it expanded the ways that I could look at each work.  It also helped me to understand my peers’ point of view on the subjects even if I did not agree with them.

I particularly liked the fact that our class size was so small because it allowed us to more easily have discussions/ participate in discussions. I know that the small class element will definitely be missing at a university.

Also, It made me sick when I was not able to attend class  because I knew that I would definitely miss out on an interesting discussion. I am not excited that this class is almost over because I know that I will miss it. I feel that I am taking a lot (of knowledge) out of this class with me, and truly enjoyed learning it.

A Poem

Prompt: Write a poem.

My inspiration for this poem is that i was too embarrassed to write a love poem for all my lit class to read:) so here is my version!

Do I dare write my love in a poem?
Must I express such intangible sentiment.
Do I confess my affection and let it be known-
When I feel it is immensely intimate?

My love is simply understood
Writing it down would do no good.
